Prior to the match against Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 match, PSG manager Christophe Galtier faced off against the media. One of the primary areas of discussion was the availability of Kylian Mbappe.
Christophe Galtier, the manager of Paris Saint-Germain, stated that the team will decide on Tuesday whether to start Kylian Mbappe in the Champions League first-leg match against Bayern Munich, but he made it plain that if they do, it will only be to give him "a few minutes" of playing time.
"We will inquire about his thoughts and how he can participate in the game on Tuesday. We'll also talk to the medical professionals about it. Kylian did a terrific job of positioning himself to return in the best possible way. That he will, though, is not a given. If we do use him, it will be for play. He won't remain there for as long as I don't know how to make up the numbers ", he insisted.
After the doctors gave the player a three-week recovery period for the injury he sustained on February 1, Galtier said that it came as a surprise to him to see the player back in practice this past Sunday and that on Monday, he was back with the team as usual.
Leo Messi, Verratti, and Mbappe were all featured in the squad list for this Tuesday's game, but it is unclear how much time the French star will have to support his team.
