The match of the century between more than the European Champions League and more than the CAF Champions League.

One of the most eagerly awaited games of the competition will be the Club World Cup semifinal between Real Madrid of Spain and Al-Ahly of Egypt. Since both teams have been training for this game for several weeks, there have been a considerable number of absences and news stories building up to the game for both. 

The key player for Al-Ahly, the current African Champions, Mohamed Salah has been sidelined with an injury. Salah has been a crucial component of Al-recent Ahly's success, thus his absence will be noticed in this game. However, Ahmed Fathi, who has performed admirably in recent games, has been found by Al-Ahly to be an acceptable replacement.

Salah's absence wasn't the only thing Al-Ahly had to face with; team manager Hossam El Badry had tested positive for COVID-19. El Badry will be unable to participate in the semifinal game against Real Madrid since he is currently being held in isolation. This is a significant setback for Al-Ahly because El Badry is one of the most seasoned football managers in Africa, and his presence would have been vital against Real Madrid.

On the other hand, Real Madrid has also had its fair share of news coming up to this game. Due to an injury, the Spanish powerhouses are without their top player Eden Hazard, which could lose them points against a potent Al-Ahly team. In spite of this, Real Madrid still has a wealth of talented players like Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos who can fill in for Hazard.

Paul Pogba, a former midfielder for Manchester United, was recently signed by Real Madrid on a loan deal that runs through the end of the current campaign. Real Madrid may need to make this change as Pogba is a seasoned midfielder who can contribute effectively both offensively and defensively as needed.

The two teams are now prepared for what should be an intriguing semifinal game between two footballing behemoths. Al-Ahly hopes to make history by being the first African team to ever compete in a Club World Cup final, while Real Madrid hopes to add another trophy to their collection and solidify their position as the premier club in the world of soccer.
