Real Madrid can't believe they didn't get all three points against Real Sociedad at the Santiago Bernabeu. The "Merengues" created many chances but could not beat Remiro, so the two teams shared the points.

Vinicius should have opened the scoring before the interval, but his shot was well stopped by Remiro, the guests' last defensive line. Remiro made another skillful save from the Brazilian winger early in the second half with his leg to keep his team level, while Fede Valverde struck in a long-range shot as Real Madrid surged forward. 

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was first called upon after an hour when Takefusa Kubo smashed through on the right, but the Belgian came down well to clear it. Vinicius was thwarted once again by the excellent Remiro, who rejected the Brazilian's lob attempt after skilfully accelerating in the penalty area. Ancelotti launched to Luka Modric and Marco Asensio in the final minutes, looking for the winning goal that Real Madrid coveted but could not find. Remiro was booked in time: he wasted stoppage time as he dashed every second from a goal kick to pick up a hard-fought point for Real Sociedad, still three points behind Real Madrid.
